Screenshots of WebGL renders for Flux
Urlbox provides Flux with and their customers with screenshots of specific canvas elements.
Build hardware more efficiently with real-time collaboration, an easy to use simulator, and forkable community content.
We wanted to have something visual when people share their projects on Facebook, Twitter, Slack and so on. We wanted them to have a nice screenshot of their actual circuit on social media. I setup Urlbox and I've not had to touch it in many many months.
It would have been so cumbersome to implement a service of our own to take screenshots. Urlbox's API is so straight forward and the live preview is cool. I can play around with the parameters and see it do what I need it to do.
We use React and Three.js, for the screenshot we only cared about a WebGL render into a specific canvas element. Urlbox's configuration options allowed us to use a custom selector, wait for it to load, control caching and set the user agent so we could easily filter requests out of analytics. All that with purely frontend code. And it's fast!
More happy customers
Using Urlbox, we've scaled our volume to over 5 times what we were. We’re confident that Urlbox will continue to produce great results as we grow.
It's so evident that Urlbox really cares and pays attention. It's rare that I need customer support but, when I do, I know one of the team will get right back to me.
